I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Political Thought at the University of Missouri’s Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy.

My work is situated at the intersection of the history of political thought, affect theory, and democratic theory. In my first book project, The Unhappy Poor: A Political Theory of Resentment, I broaden our understanding of the relationship between politics and resentment. Drawing on this research, I have taught courses on the history of political thought, the politics of emotions, and populism.

I hold a PhD in Political Theory from the New School for Social Research, an MA in Politics from the New School for Social Research, and a BA in Politics & International Relations from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.

My dissertation was awarded NSSR’s Hannah Arendt Award in 2026. I also won the Three-Minute Thesis Challenge in 2024 and the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award in 2025 .
